NYPD Detective is to meet with prosecutors regarding the Queens Grand Jury to be convened in January 2013 for the death of Noel Polanco.
Noel was pulled over on Grand Central Parkway by off-duty detective, Hassam Hamdy. Detective Hamdy claims he ordered Noel to put his hands up, but that he reach down. However, witness Diane DeFerrari, who was in the car, gave testimony that Noel’s hands were on the wheel and he had no time to put his hand up.
“They screamed, ‘put your hands up!’ and shot at the same time,” said DeFerrari. She continued to say, “They acted in pure road rage.”
