Bio
Michael Kesselman is an accomplished attorney with over ten years of experience litigating matters in the New York Courts. He is unwavering and uncompromising in his pursuit of justice and in his desire to obtain compensation for those who have been wronged. His law practice focuses on a wide variety of serious personal injury and civil rights litigation, including false arrest and police assaults, assaults in schools, premises matters involving public and private housing, and other personal injury litigation. At Rubenstein & Rynecki, Michael specializes in matters involving complex litigation, including handling matters in the Federal Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, handling and arguing appeals in the New York State Appellate Division, conducting trials, and handling and arguing complex motions in the New York State Supreme Court.
Michael earned his Bachelors Degree from Cornell University and his Juris Doctor from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He is admitted to practice law in the New York State Courts, the Federal Court for the Eastern District of New York, and the Federal Court for the Southern District of New York. Following law school graduation, Michael gained experience working in firms for both plaintiff’s personal injury and personal injury defense. This has given him a well-rounded perspective that he uses to his advantage: he knows how the insurance companies think, and how to make them pay.
